COVID-19 – HOUSE POLICY

Home / COVID-19 – HOUSE POLICY

At 1947 Brasserie, we are committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests, team, suppliers and surrounding community. With the ever-evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we wish to assure you of our consistent vigilance across our restaurant.

We have implemented the following stringent safety measures:

Our full team have been inducted and trained into the COVID House Policy, which will be an on-going process as Australian Government guidelines evolve.

We have re-trained all our team members and implemented increased hygiene standards across the business.

We are monitoring our team health on a daily basis – temperature, attendance, wellness and contact.

Our kitchen team is as vigilant as ever in adhering to the guidelines provided by Food Standards Australian New Zealand (FSANZ), who have advised that transmission through food is unlikely and there is no evidence of this occurring with novel coronavirus to date.

Conditions of entry

Guests, staff and suppliers will be denied entry if COVID-19 symptoms are evident.

Tracking and tracing – NSW government requires we keep a record of name and a mobile number or email address for all staff, guests, suppliers and contractors for a period of at least 28 days. guestHQ is a proven mobile based and contactless check-in system that we are using. It is simple, safe and R&CA recommended record keeping system for COVID-19 contact tracing.

At 1947 Brasserie, we strive to keep the safety of our guests and team members front of mind. While we have always had rigorous health and hygiene practices at our restaurant, we encourage the behavior that reduce the spread of COVID-19 among employees and our customers.

We are open with a safe-dining pledge to ensure our guests and employees are in the very best of hands:

  • Hand Hygiene and Respiratory Etiquette

We train and enforce frequent employee handwashing  before, during, and after preparing food; after touching garbage) with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Face Coverings

Face coverings are most essential in times when physical distancing is difficult. Our staff are adequately trained and informed on proper use, removal, and washing of cloth face coverings.

  • Cleansing and Disinfection

We clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces (e.g., door handles, cash registers, workstations, sink handles, bathroom stalls) daily and as much as possible as required by food safety requirements. We clean shared objects (e.g., payment terminals, tables, countertops/bars, receipt trays, condiment holders) between each use.

  • Recognize Signs and Symptoms

We conduct daily health checks (e.g., temperature screening and/or or symptom checking) of staff safely and respectfully, and in accordance with any applicable privacy laws and regulations.

  • Contactless Payments

Emphasis on cashless transactions in our restaurant and contactless order and pay digital technology in our restaurant.

  • Social Distancing

Fewer tables, at a safe social distance, to accommodate the four square metre rule

We will continue to adhere to a strict wellness policy and reinforce with team members that they must stay at home if they are showing any signs of illness.

There will be a number of other precautionary measures, however, they will all be seamlessly integrated into service and we envisage there will be little impact on the dining experience, other than adding another layer of safety.

We thank you for your support to dine at our restaurant.
